Good Morning From Right Here

Sunrise Over Godrevy Lighthouse
Sunrise Over Godrevy Lighthouse

A quick scene from walking the dog this morning. Just when you think something like this can't get any better, a couple of dolphins breach in front of a sunrise. I don't think I managed to catch any of that in this shot, but I do only have a phone, and it's a few years old at this point (Google Pixel 8), it does me, I'm no longer a tech chaser, or early adopter, or however somebody like that might be described so I'll probably use it until just stops working or can't be updated and becomes a security hazard. Anyway, I saw the dolphins, so whatever. I dunno, get a goldfish or something, I can't think for you.

Five Albums (Pass It On)

Red Rain, A Single Released from So, by Peter Gabriel
Red Rain, A Single Released from So, by Peter Gabriel

Came across this via Olly who was in turn inspired by Martin (sorry, no idea who you are Martin, but for better or for worse, likely the latter, you are on my radar now). As this is my first post on this marvellous, Pagecord Blog, it seemed like a good way to introduce myself. Like Olly, these are not necessarily the same as my five very best and favourite records (which may be another, more verbose post) but are 'five albums that shaped me', however, 'Badmotorfinger' is my untouchable best and favourite. Enjoy, everyone loves a list right?

  1. Soundgarden ~ 'Badmotorfinger'
  2. Peter Gabriel ~ 'So'
  3. Stiff Little Fingers ~ 'Nobody's Heroes'
  4. Neil Young ~ 'Live Rust'
  5. The Monkees ~ 'The Monkees'

I need to comment on the last one, it was my Mum's. It was the record with which I learned to use the turntable. It was magic, so I kept doing it, because it had made me magic too.
